The second encompasses finding clients, qualifying them, creating compelling, customized sales-support materials, recording actions taken, and performing all the other important but time-consuming tasks that support selling. 

Those other tasks steal time from the primary role: selling. You know, getting prospects to buy.

Using AI to speed up the work of the second role gives your sales reps more time to perform their primary role: interacting with clients. And that makes for more closed deals smashed quotas and, perhaps, even some well-warranted bragging (not you, of course, but some people).
